We had a rare chance to catch of glimpse of the Northern Lights here in London Ontario last night. So our team headed out to do a bit of shooting on a cold night, heres what we got.

It is bright and sunny here in London Ontario to start off the day. But don’t let that fool you! We are under a Tornado Watch. Things could get interesting. I will be headed out to do some storm chasing and will be live updating this blog when possible…That was yesterday before we headed out. My buddy Andrew and I headed up to Lake Huron just north of Grand Bend around 2pm to wait for the storms to come on shore. After watching the radar for a couple hours and thinking we might not get what we came for, it started to happen. And this is what we saw…

About 8 hours from here is a little town called Petawawa. Our LMP team had the opportunity to shoot Sarah and Shane’s wedding last Saturday, (blog will be up soon), but we were able to take the family along for the ride as it was the holiday weekend. It was a long time riding in the van but we broke it up with a few stops along the way and we had alot of laughs.
A few of our highlights were the Petawawa fireworks, which were amazing, and our drive through Algonquin Park where we spotted a moose, as well as our stop in Penetanguishene, where Lee’s girlfriend is from and we toured Discovery Harbour, before heading back home to London.

So the London area had an intense thunderstorm early this morning that brought tons of lightning, hail, and strong winds and lasted for over 2 hours. The storm also took out power to much of the city and surrounding areas. Here is what I saw when the sun came up…

Well, the great weather is finally here and everyone loves to spend time outside on the long weekend. Keri, Lee’s sister started a vegetable garden last summer and this year Keri and Lee decided they needed to make it three times larger as well as get some great soil and get started early. So as you can see they got to work and got it all planted….just in time before the storm came today! Now all we need is a great summer and we look forward to some great meals from the garden!

So there hasn’t been all that much Spring in the air yet this year. And if your like me its been getting me a little down. So last friday when I was driving and I saw that my car said it was 23 degrees outside. I decided I needed an afternoon outside. Lucky for me my girlfriend Ghislaine, saw the nice weather coming (at least one of us plans ahead) and took the afternoon off work. We headed to Midland Ontario for some lunch from Ghislaine’s cousins shop Ciboulette et Cie,ate at the docks and went for a drive to the lake. I also managed to convince my beautiful girlfriend to let me take a few photos of her too Who could ask for a better afternoon.

So I have been on a bit of a “vacation” the last few weeks. I have been spending time with my amazing girlfriend Ghislaine up north at her families place near Penetanguishene Ontario, yeah thats probably one of the longest city names in Ontario, even my GPS has a hard time saying it. Being about 3 hours (3 and a half to 4 when my mom asks) north of London, there seems to be a lot more snow and a lot colder temperatures. But there are some amazing opportunities to take some great photos too. Snow, Sunsets and Iceburgs always make for some interesting captures, so I thought I would share a few here on the blog. Oh and I add in a few of this beautiful girl that just happened to be walking with me!

On January 29/11 The University Students’ Council Held their Charity Ball 2011 – Western’s Sweet Dream In Support of The Boys & Girls Club of London! Several thousand students and guests attended the beautiful event at the Convention Centre, London, Ontario. Our LMP team was happy to participate this year again and be involved in this wonderful fundraising event!
