So last night Southern Ontario got another round of intense storms. There were reports of downed trees and power lines just north of London Ontario on the 13 Mile Road near the town of Birr Ontario. So at first light this morning I went out to take a look. This is a little bit of what I saw…

The first night she met Tyson she made him pinky swear here that he was going to call her the next day… and he did and they have been together ever since. On June 20th 2011 Tyson and her have been together for 6 years.
Tyson can always get Cas to laugh with all of his impersonations! ie: Hermie being a great one, as Tyson is a dentist.
Their days are filled with Friends, Jays games, cooking, Rollerblading, Going to the movies and out to dinner! But in the evening is when he always asks her, “Did you remember to floss?”
It was a beautiful evening that LMP had with the two of them doing their engagement shoot! Most of the evening was spent trekking through the water, climbing over rocks, and you two were just great!
Congratulations Cas and Tyson and we are looking forward to your wedding October 8, 2011!

Not often but occasionally we get the awesome privilege of doing the wedding of someone we already know. This summer, one of Lee’s cousins is getting married in Toronto and we knew when she introduced us to Shian awhile back that they were so right for each other! The odds of Teresa and Shian meeting were crazy unlikely it seemed. They were both travelling in Cuba! What an awesome trip it was! Then came the challenge of seeing each other often as they had to spend a great deal of time travelling from where Shian was from in England. It took a lot of effort for them to be together in Canada. So back and forth they went as their relationship grew and now they are settling in and are excited as they just bought their first home together in Toronto and are getting married in July. We can’t wait for their wedding!

So the London area had an intense thunderstorm early this morning that brought tons of lightning, hail, and strong winds and lasted for over 2 hours. The storm also took out power to much of the city and surrounding areas. Here is what I saw when the sun came up…

Well, the great weather is finally here and everyone loves to spend time outside on the long weekend. Keri, Lee’s sister started a vegetable garden last summer and this year Keri and Lee decided they needed to make it three times larger as well as get some great soil and get started early. So as you can see they got to work and got it all planted….just in time before the storm came today! Now all we need is a great summer and we look forward to some great meals from the garden!

A story about the policeman and the postie, how they met.

Matt and Meagan met through her good friend, and future bridesmaid, Nicole who lives in St Thomas (who she met in Australia while travelling). Meagan always teases her that she found her groom.
Matt and Meagan have been together since November 2007. He loves telling the story of how they met in Nicole’s basement while the guys were watching the Leafs game… He also loves telling people that she is 2 years older than him…and as they were driving into London to go to the bar to celebrate Matt’s buddy Greg’s birthday….she wrote her phone number on the condensation on the window. It was all history after that…

The Proposal-

Matt had gone out with friends on the Friday night, and had tried to settle his nerves about the pending proposal planned for the next day, with a couple drinks (like she would have said anything but YES!) Matt came home late/early and managed to pull the upstairs toilet from the wall, causing water to go everywhere and Meagan to come to the rescue! The next day Matt and her went out to do a couple of things and he dropped her off at the mall. While she was at the mall, he met her cousin Tara in the LCBO parking lot to pick up the ring! Tara had brought it down from Toronto where they both had picked it out a couple weeks before! All the cousins, her sister, “sister in love” and brother were planning to go out for a big dinner in celebration of all the October birthdays that night at the Verandah Café, so Tara was asking so many questions, hoping that I would have the ring on my finger by then! Matt picked Meagan up at the mall and they went home to get ready for the dinner. She was upstairs getting ready for the dinner and Matt was calling her to come downstairs. He was trying to tell her that the water had leaked down into their basement and had caused damage to the walls. Meagan told him she was busy, and that he should take care of it! After continuously calling her to come downstairs, with no success, he came up to see her. He was smirking. I was confused. She asked why he thought it was funny that our walls were damaged! So she was slightly annoyed and decided to go downstairs on the main floor to take a look. As she went downstairs, Meagan was looking everywhere for the damage, and Matt told her it was farther down the next set of stairs. So she went downstairs and all the lights were off, and she could hardly see. Meagan told him to tell her where the damage was because they were rushing to get out the door to dinner….that’s when he pointed down to the end of the basement where he had the ring box open and sitting on a table with one of the pot lights shining down on it. Meagan was shocked! Completely unexpected! She went from being annoyed that they had leaking and damage in their basement to confusion, to her being so excited and crying! It was perfect! Then they went out for a great night with some of the people that mean the most to them (family and friends!) and celebrated! It was a great night! It was Thanksgiving weekend (October 9th) when he proposed, so the following 2 days were both of their family’s dinner’s where the excited couple was able to share their exciting news!

What a fun evening we had with Meagan and Matt at Meagan’s family farm! It was wonderful and then all of sudden it turned so windy and cold…but it was a great time anyway!
LMP can’t wait till your October 2011 wedding! Congratulations to you both!

Scott and Sarah were “introduced” by a mutual friend of theirs, and now one of their bridesmaids. She is one of Sarah’s best friends from highschool, and met Scott while she was a summer student at Toyota and Scott was doing a co-op placement there.
It started as “you should meet Scott, he has blonde curly hair too…I’m going to tell him to add you to facebook” while she was home from school in the summer. Sarah laughed at her then and forgot about it, but Andrea didn’t. Returning to Waterloo for Sarah’s 3rd year of optometry in September, a persistent Andrea did what she said she was going to do and Scott and her met up.
Scott put up with her being busy with school for the fall and winter, being away in Kentucky for the summer 2009 for an internship and stressing out about board exams in her final year. February 2010, in the midst of the studying “fun” for boards, they went away for a snowboarding weekend at Mt St Louis Moonstone, where Scott proposed half way down a run.
LMP had a great time interacting with this super sweet couple! It was so nice to enjoy a beautiful spring evening with them doing their engagement shoot!
Congratulations Sarah and Scott and we are really looking forward to your wedding in August.

Many years from now, most of us in London, Ontario and area will remember the “December 2010 Snow Storm.”
Whether you are sore from shoveling, or loved having the days off of school, or work you will remember that it just seemed to never stop.
We had several excursions out on the road that we had to take and it was quite scary as we couldn’t see in front of us and the amount of snow was pulling our vehicle off the road.

What a relief this morning to see blue skies and just tiny snowflakes coming down instead of the huge amount of snowflakes that we’ve seen over the past 2 days!
But, wait…I just looked out our office window as I’m writing this and I can’t believe what I see….the white stuff is coming down thick again…is it ever going to end?

Jerrod and Rebecca met nearly 12 years ago at Brant Community Church where their families were attending. They grew up going to the same Sunday school and with many of the same friends. They began dating nearly 6 years ago when they were in high school. Rebecca heard through the grapevine that Jerrod was interested in her, and shortly after he began emailing her frequently, calling her even more, and soon invited her to do things with him outside of youth events at the church. In 2007, she began nursing at McMaster, and in 2008, Jerrod began a job in Waterloo. While university and jobs took many of their friends to different cities, Jerrod and Rebecca both remained living in Brantford.

It was during this time that their relationship grew from a high school romance to something much more serious. Their love for each other grew from a deep friendship that had developed over time and they both knew without a doubt that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together.

Jerrod had planned to propose in August during a trip to visit some of her family. However, one day in July, while he was at work, he decided he couldn’t wait any longer. The ring was waiting for him at the jewelers, so he stopped on his way home to pick it up and then came over to Rebecca’s place. He took her on a walk that they had taken many times before to a park near her house. It was at this park that they had first kissed, and first said “I love you.” As they walked, Jerrod began to tell her about his favorite memories with her and about the dreams he had for their future, then he got down on his knee and proposed. She was so happy and said yes over and over.
One of the things Rebecca and Jerrod love to do together is go to fairs so when we heard this we thought the fair would be an awesome spot to do their Engagement Photos.

It was a very cool evening, in fact really cool but it was great to have lots of spectators at the fair while LMP took shots of the couple having fun at the fair. We found out that Rebecca absolutely loves popcorn too!

Congratulations and we can’t wait till your wedding next year.

They met in 2007 through a mutual acquaintance. Since then, they started going out on dates and as it often turns out they had a lot in common. They get along very well or maybe sometimes not but they still love each other….very much. You can see it how they look at each other. Jon still lives in Toronto with his family, while she lives in London with her family as well. They always look forward to the days they see each other. Missing each other made their love grew fonder. They both learned the value of trust and patience from their relationship.

Jessa and Jon both love traveling. They went to Florida on their first year anniversary, Philippines on their second, and Paris on their third and that’s when and where he proposed. Jessa had a feeling that he would propose there, because it’s Paris (city for lovers)! It’s in history, guys proposing in Paris… so she thought maybe he would do the same. On their 3rd day in Paris, she dug through his luggage while he was in the shower in order to get rid of her “proposal expectation” feeling. To her disappointment, she did not find any ring. On their 5th day(2 days before they left), this was the last chance of passing by the Eiffel tower(where most proposal are done) and he still hadn’t proposed. Again, disappointed, she admitted. Later on, when they were at the Pont des Arts, the most romantic bridge in Paris, that’s when he proposed. Jon was still able to surprise Jessa despite her being sneaky. She was really happy. He said he didn’t want to propose in Eiffel tower since it’s too cliché.

Jessa and Jon like trying new adventures. They have gone rafting and bungee jumping this past summer. Bungee jumping couldn’t get any scarier that’s why when our team took them up a hill for a trek on their Engagement shoot on a really windy day they were serious when they said they will try to roll over down the hill during the shoot. They were so much fun. She spent all afternoon at the salon and within minutes out on that crazy windy day the wind had grabbed her hair….then on top of that Lee had the bright idea to take them into a field and we didn’t realize it but there were burrs all over and they got in her hair….Jonathan had to spend about 15 minutes trying to get them out of her hair….way to go Lee…. They were so great to work with and didn’t complain. Jessa loves fashion so she just wanted to make sure she had some shots in a pre-wedding day dress as well. She bought one just for her shoot as she wanted the bride “look” too. She’ll still have a surprise for us on her wedding day as she’s getting another dress as well! We thank you two for such a fun afternoon and for being yourselves in front of the camera and we can’t wait till your wedding day! Congratulations Jessa and Jon!
