Andrew and Brandea met through their mutual friends, Adrian and Liseann, who are now married!. They spent their first meeting getting to know one another and, a few days later, went on their first official date. They’ve been together ever since.

Last year, they decided to make a move to British Columbia. Before Brandea made the move west with Andrew, she did a volunteer trip to Malawi, Africa. The day she arrived in BC after her trip to Africa, Andrew surprised her by asking her to marry him! Recently, their careers have brought them back to Ontario, where they hope to settle down permanently.

The day was beautiful! She had picked all the perfect details! The colors were gorgeous and the clock was ticking. In just a few hours she would be his bride, but Cas could hardly wait, and in fact she wanted to text him or see him before and she was almost ready to when she decided she would hold off and wait to see him at the front of the aisle like they had decided. It was hard waiting but when she saw Tyson standing waiting for her she was so excited and so over joyed.
She was gorgeous and she took his breath away and she just felt so secure standing beside him and couldn’t believe this was really happening and now they were married!

Keith and Peggy met on a stunning warm Monday evening in early May for the first time in Chapters after emailing back and forth for a couple of months. Peggy had just bought a book that he was currently reading and neither of them has finished this book to date. Time flew by once they started talking and before they knew it they were closing up for the evening. Keith was such a gentleman and asked if he could take her on a real date the coming weekend after his football game. He was so sore but still humoured Peggy and walked around the park first before dinner. Dates followed with Peggy convincing to skip an afternoon of work to have lunch with her in the park and the two of them battling it out on xbox. She’s not exactly sure the moment she knew that she loved him but she just remembered looking at him and realizing that she didn’t want to be with anyone else or without him. Peggy always has been told that guys know right from the start and with girls it takes a bit and this was the case. Keith says he knew right away and she loves him for being strong and patient enough to let her come to love him as much as he felt for her.

Keith proposed to Peggy on Christmas eve. Christmas is one of her favourite times of year and one of the hardest for Keith. He picked her church where he knew she wanted to be married to propose. He wasn’t nervous till driving to her house to take her mom and her to church that evening but was very good at hiding it once he got there. She had no idea. It was a very crisp, cold evening when he pulled her to the side outside. She was holding onto him so tightly because she was cold that she wouldn’t let him get down on one knee. It was beautiful with the lights from inside the church spilling out through the stained glassed windows creating a gorgeous display of colour across the snow. Keith asked Peggy to marry him. She cried and said yes. Then asked if they could go back inside for she was freezing.

They love to travel and be together finding the simple pleasures drawing them closer and making them the happiest. Whether it be walking hand and hand in Central Park in New York, hiking through the Bruce Trail to camp at Cypress Lake, working side by side in the kitchen to prepare a meal, or just curled up on the couch wrapped in each other’s arms watching a movie or playing a game.

Little 8 year olds, Esther and David knew each other back then when their parents were friends, through church. We imagine that she didn’t really look at him then the same way she looks at him now, nor did their parent’s think that their friendship would grow in the way it has till now. She really noticed him in the summer of 2000, but because he was a bit quiet, he didn’t look at her too much or talk too much to her…..she thought he couldn’t possibly be interested. Then they had their first date on August 15, 2007. He asked her to go to a Blue Jays game with him, just over a week before she was to leave for school in Dubuque, Iowa, and that night they took their first walk along the waterfront in Toronto. The first two years of their relationship were long distance, but when she would come home there would be a Leafs or a Jays game in Toronto to look forward to, and often a moonlight walk along the water.

After finishing school this past summer, David was ready to take the next step, and with Esther’s best friends visiting from the states and both sets of parents on board, wedding planning began.
He had told her when he ordered the ring, one which he selected completely on his own, but time passed and it seemed to her like it would never arrive.
October 2, 2010 rolled around and the time came for their annual trek to Toronto for a Leafs game. It seemed the same as every previous one . . . they had supper out, nothing happened, they watched the game, nothing happened. But, on the way back to the car he took her for a detour through the gardens along the waterfront (she thought it was just a shortcut), and when he asked if she wanted to sit down on a bench she thought it was because he knew her feet were tired. It was a beautiful spot, the lake on one side, the lights of the city sparkling in the night sky on the other — Esther wasn’t ready to go when David suggested they should, but she got up and was starting to walk away when she heard him say, “Also, one more thing,” and felt him grab her arm. She turned around and he was down on one knee pulling a little box out of his coat pocket, his words, “Will you marry me?” barely even registering in her stunned surprise.
She threw her arms around him, giggling and crying, and completely forgetting a)that he was kneeling on wet grass, b)about the ring, and c)to answer him. He asked if he could stand up, and he managed to get the ring on her finger just as she was realizing that she hadn’t answered yet — which she remedied with many a yes, yes, yes! When they got back to the parking garage, and some decent lighting, she finally took a look at the ring — it was GORGEOUS! She couldn’t believe her eyes: the diamonds, the intricate and unique design of the band. She couldn’t stop grinning and looking at him and then the ring and then back at him the whole way home.

Brandon and Valerie were 16 when they met. Valerie’s good friend Sarah had invited her to stay with her and her family at a cottage they rented in Tobermory, Ontario. Tobermory is renowned for their lighthouses, fresh water diving excursions, as well as their crystal clear water and beautiful scenery. Brandon’s grandparents have owned a cottage in Tobermory for many years, and therefore Brandon and his family spend a lot of time there each summer. On Valerie’s second last day at the cottage, Sarah and her decided to take her younger sister to the rocks near the water, which over look the famous little tub lighthouse. The girls were cliff jumping into the water when they noticed Sarah’s sister talking to two guys and their big Weimaraner dog Crystal. Crystal was also cliff jumping into the water to retrieve a stick the guys kept throwing into the water. Sarah and Valerie went over to make sure An wasn’t getting into trouble and was safe. The girls started up a conversation with the guys who turned out to be Brandon and his older brother Ryan. They decided to meet up later on in the evening for a game of basketball, followed by more cliff jumping and a camp fire. Valerie and Brandon exchanged emails, and when she arrived back home, within days, Brandon emailed Valerie saying she had left a “lasting impression” on him. From then on Valerie and Brandon dated long distance throughout high school and university.
Now Valerie’s a nurse and Brandon is in the hiring stage for the OPP and they are so excited as he proposed just a few weeks ago while they were apple picking which they do every Thanksgiving near Brandon’s home town.
After having a great E-Session with Valerie and Brandon climbing hills and rocks and crossing the river, it seemed only right to visit an apple orchard for a few special shots…Thanksgiving and apple time will always be special for them as Brandon got down on one knee in the middle of the orchard to propose to Valerie just this past Thanksgiving.

You can’t help but love this sweet, sincere couple. James and Yancy met and started dating in high school. James says that he was too shy to talk to Yancy at first, but his friends pushed him into it and he was sure glad he did. Life has never been the same since as this wonderful couple has shared many great times together.

In 2008 Yancy and James went to Disney world with James family. One day after going to 3 out of 4 parks, they were finally watching the fireworks in front of the Disney castle when James asked her to marry him. She said yes, and his timing was perfect! Believe it or not, heart-shaped fireworks started popping up in the sky.

Our Lee Mann Photography Team had a great evening with Jessica and Curtis getting to know them better doing their E-Session (Engagement Shoot). Right from the first photo Jessica and Curtis were so comfortable in front of the camera and in fact, it was as if we weren’t even there.

Lee Mann Photography always loves hearing about every couple’s engagement. Every story is different. Curtis loves to give Jessica surprises and on a very special weekend he gave her a surprise that would last for their lifetime.

Curtis took Jessica away on a surprise weekend into Toronto for some shopping and then they had dinner at the restaurant they went to on their first date in Guelph. They stayed the night at a suite in the Delta where in the morning he gave her a card saying all the reasons why he loved her and then he proposed. Jessica and Curtis left Guelph to return home where Curtis had planned a party which the guests believed was Jessica’s surprise birthday party only to find out the couple was telling them they were engaged!

It’s a well known cliché: a groomsman and a bridesmaid meet at a wedding, are paired up for the day, end up falling in love, then eventually decide to pair up for life. However, for Greg Westman and Joelle Turner the worn out stereotype formed a ring of truth as it became reality for them.

It all started when Greg’s friend Nate married Joelle’s cousin Emily back in July 2005. Greg was a cool, aviator sporting, toe tapping, music loving, rock-star groomsman; Joelle, now a UofT grad with her BMus in Jazz Performance for Voice, was the lucky bridesmaid he escorted down the aisle. It was clearly an epic love song meant-to-be-sung.

So…how does such a cool guy propose to his sweet songstress? During a recent missions trip to Puerto Rico, Greg wrote, “Will You marry Me?” in the sand on a beach, took a picture, had it developed back in Canada, and put it last in the pile of trip pictures he sat down to share with Joelle on August 30th, 2009. When Joelle reached the last picture, she said, “Wow! What a cool idea! Did you just find this on the beach randomly?” to which Greg replied, “No. I put it there…so…will you marry me?!” and Joelle said, “No thank you.” Just kidding! She obviously said, “Yes Please!!!!!!!”

Now, they are preparing to sing the next song in their musical medley of life and love together. On October 10, 2010 Joelle will again be escorted down the aisle- to marry her former groomsman.

As you are aware, the month of October has had some pretty cold days, but the15th was especially that way as we headed out into the woods with Greg and Joelle. It wasn’t long till Joelle picked up her guitar that she brought and started singing. What a great time we had with them that cold and windy day in the leaves. Back at the house they played a few tunes on the piano and enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate while they snuggled up.

We will always remember that day as it ended with our first snowfall of 2009 in London, Ontario.

Jess and Brad met through a mutual friend of theirs who had them exchange email addresses. They talked a few times on the phone and their first date was when Brad offered to take her grocery shopping at the SuperStore. They had “creeped” each other on Facebook before so they knew what each other looked like, but when he knocked on her door and she answered it he actually had to look away because he had this stupid smile on his face (pretty much a WOWZA face Brad said) and within a second he just knew that he wanted to pursue this young woman like nothing else he had ever wanted in his life.

From that moment forward Brad said that he knew he was destined to be with her; even when she made her try to kiss her twice before she finally relented!

Our first summer Brad took her on a trip to Niagara Falls where they went horseback riding and on a few winery tours. At Peller Estates they took a stemware class and fell in love with wine. Brad proposed at Peller in the very vineyard they had walked in the first summer they met with a private lunch in their 5 star restaurant with their own Sous Chef who made a full course meal incorporating their Signature Series Chardonnay. Although Brad wanted the engagement to be a secret (with only a few managers there knowing my intention), all the women figured out that day what Brad was up to and watched from the glass windows of the estate.

The ring Brad proposed to Jess with has a diamond he bought when he was only 21. Brad hadn’t met Jess yet and in fact he was actually single at the time…….so there you go to all single guys reading this…. But Brad said that he always knew that the right woman in his life would only ever deserve the best so he bought the diamond first. He had the ring hand made in London with a matching wedding band that compliments her ring perfectly. When Brad got down on one knee he said he never asked her to “marry me” instead asked her if she’d “give me forever.”

From the first time we met this couple we couldn’t help but see their love for each other. Our Lee Mann Photography Team enjoyed a fall afternoon catching shots of them just spending time together.
